Frequently asked questions

1. Milk is not flowing — what should I do?

  • Ensure your nipple is properly centered in the breast shield.
  • Give it a moment — milk let‑down can vary from person to person.
  • Make sure you are using the correct flange size.
  • Adjust the position of the pump if needed.

2. I feel discomfort or pain while pumping

  • Reduce the suction level.
  • Check that the breast shield is correctly aligned.
  • Adjust your bra to securely support the pump.
  • If discomfort continues, stop using the device and consult a breastfeeding specialist.

3. The suction feels weak or has decreased

  • Make sure all parts are properly assembled and completely dry.
  • Check components (especially the valve) for wear or damage.
  • We recommend replacing washable parts every 2–3 months with regular use.
  • Ensure the pump is properly sealed against the breast.

4. The pump does not turn on

  • Charge the device using a 5V–1A charger.
  • Check the USB‑C cable and charging port.
  • A low battery may prevent the device from starting.

5. Can I use the pump while charging?

No. For safety reasons, the device does not operate while charging.

6. The pump stops automatically — is that normal?

Yes. The MOMMYLU™ breast pump automatically stops after 20 minutes to ensure safe and controlled use.

7. How do I clean the pump components?

  • Wash all parts that come into contact with milk before and after each use.
  • Do not remove the duckbill valve.
  • Never immerse the motor in water.
  • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.

8. How should I store breast milk?

  • Use clean, food‑safe storage containers.
  • Never mix freshly expressed milk with previously frozen milk.
  • Always thaw milk in the refrigerator.
  • Never heat breast milk in a microwave.
  • Discard any leftover milk after feeding.

9. The pump or charger got wet

  • Dry the device immediately.
  • Place it upright with the charging port facing downward.
  • Allow it to dry for at least 24 hours.
  • Do not use the device until it is completely dry.
  • Contact customer support if you are unsure.

10. What warranty does the MOMMYLU™ breast pump have?

The MOMMYLU™ breast pump comes with a 12‑month warranty covering manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Water damage
  • Improper use
  • Wear and tear parts (valves, membranes, etc.)
